Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
- Provide clear explanations of recommended services, repairs, and estimates using auto estimating tools.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs and tune up repairs.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance packages that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting the customer needs.
- Manage service writing duties efficiently, including creating detailed repair orders and processing invoices with cash handling accuracy.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers throughout the repair process to keep them informed about progress and costs.
- Foster strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service experience and promoting automotive repair solutions that meet their needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics.
- Experience in automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair and tune up repair.
- Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes. (Protractor software experience is an asset)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell services confidently and ethically.
- Knowledge of automotive sales processes is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) are advantageous.
