Role Description

We are looking for an Intermediate QA Engineer to join our on-site team in Vancouver, BC.

This role is suited for someone with 5+ years of software testing experience who enjoys working closely with developers and product managers to ensure stable, predictable product releases.

Your work will span manual testing, API testing, regression cycles, automation support, and owning quality across key parts of our platform. Experience in SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce environments is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities


• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases


• Perform manual testing across UI, API, and workflow layers of our platform


• Support automated test coverage using frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium


• Conduct regression, smoke, and exploratory testing for upcoming releases


• Test integrations with third-party APIs, payment systems, and backend services


• Investigate issues, identify root causes, and create clear, actionable bug reports


• Collaborate with developers and product managers during sprints, standups, and release reviews


• Use tools such as Postman, Jira, GitHub/GitLab, and DevOps pipelines to support the QA workflow


• Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes and standards

Qualifications


• 5+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or related roles


• Strong understanding of web applications, SaaS systems, and API-driven platforms


• Hands-on experience with manual testing and API testing (Postman or similar)


• Ability to write clear test plans, test cases, and documentation for complex features


• Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright


• Experience with Jira, bug tracking workflows, and version control systems


• Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose issues across multiple layers


• Comfortable working in Agile, cross-functional teams

• Experience building or maintaining automated testing frameworks


• Knowledge of SQL for debugging and data validation


• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment flows


• Performance or load testing experience using tools like JMeter or k6


• Background in high-compliance software, retail systems, or payment workflows
