Job Description
The Dining Room Manager plays a key role in ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and delighted throughout their dining experience. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this leader sets the tone for hospitality on the floor — inspiring the team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining smooth, efficient operations and managing costs responsibly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Champion the Guest Experience:
Lead by example to ensure every guest leaves feeling cared for, listened to, and eager to return. - Build Lasting Connections:
Cultivate strong relationships with guests, staff, and the local community to foster loyalty and word-of-mouth enthusiasm. - Lead Service Excellence:
Oversee the dining room during service, anticipate guest needs, and resolve any concerns quickly and gracefully. - Inspire and Develop the Team:
Mentor, train, and motivate FOH staff to consistently exceed service expectations through ongoing coaching and development. - Collaborate Across Teams:
Partner with the Chef and BOH team to ensure seamless coordination, communication, and quality in every guest interaction. - Drive Performance:
Manage scheduling, payroll, and cost control to meet operational and financial goals while maintaining service excellence. - Enhance the Beverage & Dining Program:
Oversee inventory and ordering for bar and dining room supplies, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. - Support Growth Initiatives:
Contribute to marketing and community engagement efforts that build brand recognition and drive sales growth. - Ensure Compliance & Safety:
Uphold all regulations related to AGCO, public health, and workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in
Hospitality Management
,
Food & Beverage Management
, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years
of progressive restaurant experience, including
2+ years
in a management role within a full-service dining environment. - Deep knowledge and passion for
food, wine, beer, and spirits
, with a focus on enhancing the guest's overall experience. - Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000–$80,000 per year
, commensurate with experience - Comprehensive dental and group benefits
after 3 months - 2 weeks paid vacation
