About us:

MEC Projects Ltd is an electrical contractor based out of Tofino. We have one position available for experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our construction and service team. Successful applicants must have commercial, industrial and residential experience with solar experience being an asset.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Canadian Red Seal ticketed electrician a must.
  • Perform tasks relating to the construction, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, Canadian Electrical Code, and project specifications
  • Assist in the supervision and coordination of small to large projects
  • Comply with WCB and company-mandated Health and Safety Standards
  • Coordinate, direct and mentor apprentices, as required

Technical Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Journeyman Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and project specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Working knowledge of electrical principles, conduit, circuitry, power and distribution
  • Data and fire alarm knowledge an asset

  • Friendly and customer-oriented frame of mind
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to understand, follow and give directions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00-$45.00 per hour
