We are offering the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful and pristine wildernesses settings in Canada. This is a rare opportunity to join our guiding team - a position does not come available often Imagine being able to experience the beauty of renowned Reindeer Lake every single day.

Reindeer Lake is located in the northeastern part of Saskatchewan. Arctic Lodges is a world-class fly-in trophy fishing resort offering our guests all-inclusive packages. Arctic Lodges is well known for it's trophy fishing and exceptional customer service.

Arctic Lodges accommodates up on average 16 guests per day with corporate groups up to 22. We are committed to offering a warm, friendly work environment with strong team culture.

On Reindeer Lake we primarily target northern pike and lake trout. Arctic Grayling and Walleye are an added bonus. As a fishing guide you must be polite, professional, technical and a strong communicator. With over 5500 islands, Reindeer Lake is one of the largest lakes in North America with, so guiding experience is necessary for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all guests have an enjoyable and positive experience

  • Learn the layout of the waters surrounding the lodge.

  • Maintain cleanliness of boat and fishing equipment.

  • Assist with other tasks required to efficiently run the lodge.

  • Cooking daily shore-lunch for guests (includes cleaning and filleting fish).

  • Assist guests with tackle and equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a professional fishing guide - mandatory.

  • General knowledge about boats, motors, fishing gear and the required maintenance of each.

  • Specific knowledge of the fish species in Reindeer Lake (pike, trout, walleye, grayling).

  • Fly fishing experience an asset (the ability to guide fly fishing anglers).

  • First aid training
