Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window and Door Install Helper to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and restoring windows and doors across residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, carpentry, and related trades, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand tools and possess a keen eye for precision to ensure high-quality installations. Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and install windows and doors according to project specifications and blueprints
  • Use hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, and caulking guns to complete installations
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure accurate placement
  • Seal gaps using caulking to ensure energy efficiency and weatherproofing
  • Perform restoration work including repair and replacement of existing window and door units
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety standards
  • Assist with other construction tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, or flooring as needed
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times

Experience

  • Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or window/door installation preferred
  • Familiarity with hand tools, schematics, blueprints, and schematics reading is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of caulking techniques, restoration processes, and construction painting is a plus
  • Experience with plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying will be considered an asset
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions and environments
