Our client is a North American focused renewable energy developer, owner, and operator focused on community solar and battery storage projects across multiple states.

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to work in our FP&A team. The Senior Manager, Strategic Finance provides a leadership opportunity, blending advanced FP&A with high-impact financial analysis expertise to shape our capital allocation and growth strategy in community solar and battery storage. The successful candidate will lead sophisticated financial modeling, scenario planning, and valuation workstreams that directly influence investment decisions and value, while collaborating across functions to drive outcomes, market expansion and capital structure optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Analysis

  • Drive value creation by developing and maintaining complex valuation framework, complex financial models assessing project returns, incorporating IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analysis to optimize capital deployment.
  • Develop data-driven investment thesis, business cases, and evaluation criteria for growth and efficiency initiatives.
  • Partner with M&A team on acquisition target evaluation, providing rigorous due diligence on acquisitions, divestitures, and structured financing opportunities, ensuring alignment with long-term value.

Core Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Assist in the design of annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for corporate and project-level financials.
  • Analyze variances against budget and provide actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Partner with operations and development teams to align financial plans with project timelines and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in valuations, FP&A, corporate finance or investment analysis, ideally in renewable energy or infrastructure.
