The Fédération des parents francophones de l'Alberta (FPFA) manages early learning and childcare services, including daycares, preschools, before/after-school programs, as well as early learning and childcare centers across Alberta. FPFA is the leading Francophone organization in Canada in the early childhood sector.

We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join our dynamic team at the Pays des Jeux daycare and before/after-school program in Red Deer, Alberta. We welcome children aged 19 months to 5 years.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Greet children warmly and ensure their daily well-being
  • Plan and lead engaging activities tailored to children's development
  • Create a safe, enriching, and Francophone environment
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and stakeholders
  • Observe, document, and support children's overall development
  • Actively contribute to the life of the center and educational projects

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (minimum Level 1 or higher in Alberta required)
  • Experience in early childhood education is desirable
  • Valid First Aid certification
  • Excellent French skills and good knowledge of English
  • Criminal background check
  • Knowledge of Alberta's curriculum framework (L'Envol) or willingness to train in it
