ABOUT THE JOB

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair the company's equipment and facilities on an as-needed basis or by following preventative maintenance programs.
  • Accountable for all Electrical, Instrumentation Controls and plant equipment maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Ensure proper operation of refrigeration systems and boilers within legal limit.
  • Repair/Replace defective machinery parts, perform equipment adjustments, and fabricate parts when required.
  • Assist in setting up, change over production equipment and work with operators to increase uptime reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and identify root-causes for failures quickly, accurately and determine the best course of action for repair.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete them in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and working experience with pumps, bearings, gearboxes, welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and extended hours
  • Ability to read and follow detailed SOP's, repair manuals and blueprints
  • Able to Communicate well with other team members and leadership

Either Refrigeration Class B Operator certification or Power Engineer Class 4 is a must, 2 or more is an asset:

  • College diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Industrial Maintenance Electrician (309) OR Construction Electrician (442A)
  • Industrial Millwright Mechanic 433A
  • Refrigeration Class B Operator certification or Power Engineer Class 4

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
