Sales Director – IT Services
Western Region - Canada
Overview:
The Sales Director will lead and grow the IT Services sales function, managing a high-performing team, cultivating strategic client and vendor relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a proven sales leader with deep expertise in IT solutions and a passion for team development and market expansion.
Key Objectives:
- Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies, CRM usage, and certification requirements.
- Support and execute go-to-market strategies and lead generation initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to achieve performance goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching on sales techniques and meeting preparation.
- Oversee sales strategy execution and regional lead distribution.
Client & Vendor Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and manufacturers to drive business growth.
- Represent the company in vendor programs, partner initiatives, and industry calls.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in Salesforce CRM.
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics to assess product and team performance.
- Review and approve team expenses and sales letters.
Training & Enablement
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new sales staff.
- Provide ongoing updates on vendor offerings and IT services during team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years in IT Services sales, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of IT solutions (managed services, cloud, hardware/software).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel as required.
