Job Title: Room Attendant

Job Summary: The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms and select public areas according to Best Western brand standards, ensuring guest satisfaction, safety, and cleanliness at all times.

Job Duties:

• Clean and prepare up to 16 guest rooms per shift in accordance with Best Western standards
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned public areas (hallways, lobbies, meeting spaces, etc.)
• Strip and make beds with fresh linens and replace towels, toiletries, and guest amenities
• Clean all room surfaces, including bathrooms, mirrors, furniture, windows, and floors
• Stock and maintain cleaning carts, linen rooms, and supply areas
• Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests and inquiries
• Perform laundry duties as required (sorting, washing, drying, folding, restocking)
• Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures at all times
• Conduct room and area inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Ensure guest privacy and security by properly securing rooms after cleaning
• Participate in daily briefings and periodic housekeeping projects (e.g., mattress turning)
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including light houseperson tasks when needed

Requirements:

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22 kg) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and pushing carts for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Team-oriented, reliable, and professional attitude
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical use is an asset

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.
