Care Aide

We are looking for a Care Aide to join our team The ideal Care Aide will have education and training in medication administration, be easily adaptable, a fast learner, dedicated, reliable, and a problem-solver. Additionally, use of own personal vehicle will be required (use of own car will be compensated).
START ASAP
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Visiting patients in the community (in their homes)
- Medications management (orally, creams, patches) within the Care Aide scope of practice
- Following pre-set company protocols when assisting patients with their medications
- Contacting the pharmacy for further directions in situations that require it
- Documentation of all findings, interventions, and outcomes
- Submitting daily reports to Pharmacist on duty
Qualifications:
- Must be BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registered and/or have experience or education in the medical/care aide field
- Must have Medical Administration Certification
- Driver's License
- Access to reliable personal vehicle
- Be reliable and accountable
- A friendly and caring attitude that uses a patient focused approach
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills
- Strong work ethic and customer service skills
- Criminal Record Check will be requested upon successful offer
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Experience:
- Care Aide: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver's License (preferred)
- Medical Administration Certification (preferred)
