Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Licensed Plumber to join our dedicated property management team. The ideal candidate will be the go-to expert for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across our portfolio of apartment buildings and for our homeowners. This role is central to providing prompt, high-quality service to our tenants and ensuring our properties are well-maintained. - Respond promptly to tenant service requests, including emergency calls for leaks, clogs, and malfunctions.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance inspections on plumbing systems to identify and address potential issues before they become emergencies.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues efficiently, using problem-solving skills to find effective, long-term solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Clearly communicate with tenants, property managers, and team members to explain issues, solutions, and completion timelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area during and after service calls.
- Perform other general maintenance and repair tasks as needed to support the overall upkeep of our properties.
Schedule & Requirements:
- This role requires a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our residents, including availability for evening and weekend on-call rotations for emergencies.
- A valid provincial plumber's license is required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. A company vehicle will be provided upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in residential plumbing, with a strong ability to perform repairs and maintenance in occupied units.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment essential for plumbing and general maintenance trades.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants and property staff.
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and a commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
- A willingness to assist with general maintenance duties is a strong asset.
