RVA's Niagara office is looking for a Design Technologist to join their team.

Duties

  • Assist in the design of municipal Water / Wastewater facilities, including water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, CSO tanks, as well as linear infrastructure such as forcemains, watermains and sewers.
  • Prepare drawings for both vertical and linear infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare engineering design calculations and technical reports.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare meeting minutes as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender specifications for projects.
  • Work in the field to gather data for projects.
  • Site review during construction as required.
  • Other duties as required where appropriate for the position.

Qualifications

  • Recent college graduate from a 3 year Civil/Municipal Engineering program or a College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Able to obtain CET designation with OACETT is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Some experience with surveying equipment including GNSS receivers.
  • Able to be trained in Confined Space Entry procedures and undertake man-entry inspections into sewers and structures as required.
  • Demonstrated experience with REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access .
  • Highly organized with the ability to coordinate work across multiple teams and job sites.
  • Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
  • A valid G driver's license and reliable vehicle is required.

Compensation Range
The salary range for this position is: $60, $85,000.00
Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
