Join our dynamic Comisary Kitchen team as a Kitchen Helper / Food Packer, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure the smooth operation of food preparation and packaging processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, cooks, portions, and garnishes a variety of hot and cold foods following standardized recipes and production schedules.
  • Meets daily and weekly production targets, maintaining sufficient stock levels at all stations and communicating any challenges to supervisors.
  • Applies a wide range of cooking techniques, including baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, mixing, and carving meats and produce.
  • Ensures strict quality, hygiene, and safety standards by maintaining clean work areas, monitoring food temperatures, and rotating stock properly.
  • Operates, maintains, and cleans kitchen equipment while supporting team members during peak and off-peak periods, including assisting with kitchen closing tasks.
  • Manages inventory through proper practices, quality checks, and accurate tracking of food supplies.

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of culinary practices, food safety, dietary considerations, and strong proficiency in food preparation, knife skills, and kitchen equipment operation.
  • Physically able to perform kitchen duties, including standing for long periods and lifting to 50 lbs., while maintaining organization and composure under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork skills, accountability, attention to detail, and openness to feedback in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Education required: High school diploma; culinary or gastronomy degree, and Food Safe Level 1 are highly desirable.
  • Requires 1–2 years of experience as a cook (preferably in food processing), a valid work permit, and intermediate to conversational English.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
