As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing the daily performance and operations of the Warehouse Team. Your role will focus on ensuring exceptional training, fostering interdepartmental collaboration, and delivering superior customer service, all while exhibiting strong leadership and communication skills. A critical aspect of your position is the enforcement of health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. In this fast-paced environment, where deliverables and priorities evolve, your ability to adapt, solve problems and remain flexible will be critical to your success.
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will
- Assist with all aspects of the day-to-day functions of the warehouse team including receiving, transfers, returns, order processing and customer pick-ups
- Operate forklifts as needed for loading, unloading, and moving inventory
- Maintain Inventory control with a clear focus on FIFO
- Work with Dispatch to ensure product picking and service requests are completed on time. Manage and maintain KPI's in accordance with expectations
- Ensure all products are picked and loaded with no customer impact
- Plan daily workload and productivity for the team
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory control issues
- Be a staunch supporter of safety in the workplace
- Ensure the safe handling of products to mitigate or eliminate damages
- Make daily and regular checks of stacked products ensuring that all stored products are in the proper location and are stacked safely
- Manage staffing levels and schedules
- Be proactive with coaching, mentoring and overall discipline in accordance with company guidelines
- Conduct & lead daily crew chat
- Provide leaders amongst the team and handles all escalations with respect to customer (internal and external) concerns
- Identify areas of continuous improvement and come forward with viable solutions to the problems
To be successful in this role, you should
- Be proficient is the use of MS Office
- Have excellent verbal and written communication
- Have strong organizational, time management, leadership and customer service skills
- Have the ability to establish priorities and work independently and within a team
- Be familiar with scanning and basic WMS functions
Work Environment
- 70% warehouse 30% office work
- Working days: Tuesday - Saturday
- Traveling (driving to delivery sites) is required
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
