Are you a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical skills and a passion for keeping operations running smoothly? We're looking for a Warehouse Mechanic to join our team In this role, you'll perform maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, facilities, and grounds — ensuring a safe, efficient, and reliable work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across the facility (plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and more).
· Maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and building systems.
· Prioritize and complete daily work orders efficiently to meet deadlines.
· Estimate materials and time needed for maintenance projects and submit for approval.
· Maintain lighting systems, assemble furniture, and handle minor repairs (drywall, flooring, locks).
· Oversee third-party maintenance services and ensure work meets company standards.
· Operate tools safely and in compliance with workplace and food safety programs.
· Respond quickly to emergencies, including occasional after-hours maintenance calls.
Skills and Competencies:
· Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
· Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
· Physical ability to perform maintenance-related tasks.
Education and Training Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years of previous maintenance and/or handyman experience required.
· WHMIS certification required.
· Working at Heights certification and First Aid/CPR preferred.
· Knowledge of food safety or food manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
