Job Summary

Oakwood Transport is a full-service Auto Carrier and are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator/Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will manage our customer billing processes, ensure accurate account reconciliation, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in excel and various accounting software and strong analytical skills to support efficient financial operations and maintain positive client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process customer invoices using our software program
  • Perform data entry with high accuracy to update billing records and customer accounts
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
  • Conduct account analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making
  • Communicate effectively with clients via phone etiquette, addressing billing inquiries and resolving disputes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing procedures and improve overall efficiency
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
  • Support the finance department various tasks, analysis, and reporting as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage
  • Strong knowledge of excel
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial analysis
  • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes
  • Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and perform account analysis
  • Effective negotiation skills for resolving billing disputes or discrepancies
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills necessary for accurate calculations and financial assessments

  • Previous experience in a trucking environment will be beneficial, but not required
  • Wages will be determined based on experience and accounting qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
