We are looking for a friendly and motivated Barista to join our team at Rise Coffee House to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Previous barista experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right candidate. Starting wage will be based on experience.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate should have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking their orders and providing recommendations as needed
  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards
  • Operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders, ensuring the proper extraction and brewing techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, equipment, and utensils
  • Handle cash and process transactions accurately, following policies and procedures
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring that all guests have a positive experience and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly
  • Prepare and serve light food fare with minimal preparation
  • Assist in stocking and replenishing supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
  • Stay updated on the latest coffee trends, brewing methods, and product offerings to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as per business needs
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (e.g., bags of coffee beans)
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and willingness to adhere to them
  • Previous barista or café experience is considered an asset, but not required
