The Cobourg Farmers' Market was established in 1839, making it one of the oldest markets in Ontario. It has a rich history serving the community and supporting Farmers and Artisans in Northumberland County. It offers locally grown and certified organic produce, flowers, plants, cheese and Artisan products.

The Cobourg Farmers' Market Mission is:

To maintain a Farmers' Market to market local farm and craft products.

To stimulate public interest in agriculture and crafts.

To increase the presence of local products to the consumer.

Who are we looking for?

An eager, self-motivated, entry-level marketer with a passion for supporting the community. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who has exposure or knowledge in a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, digital, and social media. The Marketing Coordinator must be organized, able to efficiently communicate and have a keen eye for detail.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the ideation, execution, delivery and reporting of digital campaigns across a variety of digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, etc) - aligning to the strategic direction set out by our Board of Directors.
  • Establish an email marketing program and campaign including copy, scheduling, and testing, as well as creating, proofreading and tracking.
  • Manage the Sponsorship Program and source support from localized businesses.
  • Analyze campaign data and create reports considering performance trends and data anomalies, while identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Conduct research and report on surrounding target audience identification, competitive analysis, qualitative website profiling, search engine keyword analysis, and secondary research aggregation.

Qualifications & Skills

Passion for digital advertising and a desire to gain experience in the field.

Excellent time management and self-tasking skills.

Willingness to learn and go out of your comfort zone to grow professionally.

Strong team player with the ability to collaborate.

Familiarity with Google Ads and Facebook Business Manager.
