Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to inspire students from beginner to school age and adults through engaging music education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching music, experience working with children, and a nurturing approach to foster a love for music and learning. This role involves developing tailored lesson plans, guiding students through musical concepts, and creating a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to students' age and skill levels
  • Foster a supportive environment that encourages students' musical growth and confidence
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
  • Incorporate diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
  • Organize performances or recitals to showcase student progress and build community engagement
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student development and address any concerns
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Utilize classroom experience and early childhood education techniques to enhance learning experiences

Experience

  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience in music is highly preferred
  • Experience working with children across various age groups is essential
  • Background in early childhood education or classroom experience is advantageous
  • Skills in cooking are considered a nice-to-have for integrating creative activities into lessons
  • Proven ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching strategies as needed
  • Strong communication skills and patience to support diverse student needs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
