We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves creating beautiful hairstyles, providing personalized consultations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all clients. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and maintain high standards of sanitation and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to clients' needs and offering professional recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
- Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, and styling products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments.
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and positive referrals.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon setting.
- Ability to upsell retail products naturally during client consultations.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure clear understanding of client desires and salon policies.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required.
