Overview

We are looking for reliable, motivated, and hardworking individuals to join our growing team as Hazardous Materials Technicians. In this role, you will support abatement projects involving asbestos, mold, lead, and other hazardous materials

Responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and dismantling containment areas, including poly sheeting, negative air machines, decontamination units, and safety barriers.
  • Properly sealing work areas using tape, hard hoarding, and other materials to prevent contamination.
  • Assisting with scaffolding, temporary enclosures, and other required support structures.
  • Operating HEPA vacuums, negative air machines, and other specialized equipment.
  • Following all company and regulatory safety procedures, including appropriate PPE use.
  • Performing daily inspections of containment integrity and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and project areas.
  • Assisting with site preparation, cleanup, and compliant disposal of hazardous materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

Preferred (Training Required)

  • Experience in asbestos, mold, or hazardous material abatement.
  • Knowledge of OH&S regulations and safety procedures.

Required

  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, standing for long periods, confined spaces).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
