The Westwood Honda has an opening for an Automotive Service Technician

Are you looking for a rewarding career in the auto industry?  If you are someone looking for secure, meaningful and long-term employment with room for growth, there's a place for you here. We are looking for a motivated, fully trained, Read Seal Mechanic to join our busy Service Department.  

Pay: $45.18 Red Seal Flat Rate per hour.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards and manufacturer specs.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed while providing accurate estimates of time needed.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Additional duties as required. 


We're looking for an individual with:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Excellent organization skills 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • A desire to exceed customer expectations 
  • Previous shop/mechanic experience
  • Valid Class 5 drivers' license with an acceptable driving record 
  • Ability to drive standard transmission vehicles 
  • Government issued Automotive Service Technician License is an asset 
  • Honda experience is an asset
