We are looking for a motivated, fully trained, Automotive Technician to join our busy Service Department. Not certified? We are also open to hiring a 1st to 4th year Apprentice if you are the right fit.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards and manufacturer specs.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed while providing accurate estimates of time needed.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Additional duties as required.
We're looking for an individual with:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A desire to exceed customer expectations
- Previous shop/mechanic experience
- Valid Class 5 drivers' license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to drive standard transmission vehicles
- Government issued Automotive Service Technician License is an asset
- Honda experience is an asset
