Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our supply chain, ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of goods from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to established standards.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (if certified).
- Load and unload delivery trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain impeccable organization within the warehouse, including stocking shelves and performing cycle counts.
- Utilize inventory management software and barcode scanners to track, manage, and update inventory records.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet daily shipping and receiving goals.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist in resolving any shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: High school diploma. Previous experience (6 months - 1+ years) in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory role is preferred
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly. Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or inventory software is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure order and inventory accuracy.
- Teamwork: Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to fulfilling assigned tasks.
- Safety-Minded: A strong commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Experience in a fast-paced e-commerce or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of shipping carrier requirements (e.g., FedEx, UPS, Purolator, Canada Post).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
