We are
Cape Smokey Holding Ltd.
, a high-end real estate development company that is in the process of developing a major year round resort at Cape Smokey, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.To ensure our operations and projects (both on and off our ski hill) proceed in a timely and cost-effective manner, we require the position of "Construction Project Manager" (NOC to be filled.

Reporting to the CEO, the Construction Project Manager provides the necessary leadership to bid, plan, organize, direct and control assigned projects. Along with your project team, you will be given control of your project to ensure on-time delivery, while keeping the CEO engaged throughout the process.

We are located at 38696 Cabot Trail Road, Ingonish Beach, Nova scotia, B0C 1L0, Canada.

This is a 3-year, non-seasonal, position.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
  • Select trade subcontractors and co-ordinate their activities
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Develop risk management plans
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

Skills/Requirements

  • College or CEGEP
  • Over 5 years experience in engineering or engineering rleated field.
  • Water management experience an asset

Hours
This position is a full-time, 3-year, position for 40 hours per week. Flexible

Salary
The qualified applicant will be paid an hourly salary of $40 - $49/hour
