Field Crew Member | General Carpenter

Boulder and Beam is a quality-first residential construction company focused on durable, long-term work. We're looking for a full-time field crew member who shows up consistently, works with integrity, and takes pride in doing things properly.

The Role:

You'll work as part of a small, professional crew on a variety of residential construction projects including decks, concrete, framing, roofing, timber-frame, ground-up builds, and finish work. This role requires steady effort, attention to detail, and respect for the work, the crew, and the client's home.

Experience:

  • Basic construction experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with tools, job sites, and physical work is important
  • Willingness to learn proper methods and follow process is essential

  • Care for tools, materials, and finished work
  • Professional conduct with crew members and clients
  • Regular and consistent communication
  • Ability to learn and use management software(Buildertrend) to complete regular onsite activity logs, time tracking, communication, and expense records.
  • Safe and proper use of tools and equipment once trained on the individual circumstance
  • Capacity for hard outdoor physical work(framing, roofing, concrete, siding, windows, etc)
  • G class drivers license and your own vehicle
  • Working at Heights Certification is a plus

What This Is Not:

  • Not a high-speed or shortcut-driven crew. 'looks good from my place' won't cut it here
  • Not a loosely managed or casual work environment
  • Not a role for someone who resists structure or feedback
  • Not for someone who prefers 'how I always do(did) it'
