Exterior Carpenter / General Labourer — Siding, Framing & Decks

Job Summary

Escarpment Contracting is a fast-growing exterior contracting company specializing in siding, framing, decks, and aluminum work. We are currently looking to add two motivated team members to our crew:

  • One entry-level position for someone with minimal experience who is eager to learn the carpentry trade
  • One experienced exterior carpenter who is interested in long-term growth and eventually running their own crew

We take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, professional job sites, and building a team that wants to grow with the company — not just punch a clock.

Pay Range

$18 – $40+ per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and leadership ability.

Who We're Looking ForPosition 1 — Entry Level / Apprentice Carpenter

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Has little to some construction experience
  • Wants to learn carpentry properly from a young, skilled crew
  • Is reliable, shows up on time, and takes pride in their work
  • Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

You'll learn:

  • Siding installation
  • Framing fundamentals
  • Deck construction
  • Job site organization and safety

Position 2 — Experienced Exterior Carpenter / Future Crew Lead

This role is for someone who:

  • Has experience in siding, decks, framing, and exterior construction
  • Can work independently and help lead jobs
  • Communicates well with clients and crew
  • Is interested in growing into a crew lead / site supervisor role within the next year
