The Organizational Learning Coordinator (Training Coordinator) is a key member of the HR team and is responsible for organizing and scheduling training and assessments, maintaining training records, and researching training solutions. This role is crucial in ensuring that staff are equipped with technical knowledge, safety awareness, and best practices. In this role, you will also investigate, schedule, and organize internal and external training for our office and production employees across multiple locations.

Location: 66 Moorefield Street, Cambridge, ON

Dedicated Day Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract Position with Benefits: 16 months

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with HR, Health & Safety, supervisors, and managers to identify skill gaps and organize appropriate training solutions.
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate onboarding training for new hires to ensure a strong and consistent start.
  • Identify, source, and coordinate with internal/external trainers, technology vendors, and partner with institutions to organize technical training sessions, hands-on workshops, equipment demonstrations, and certification programs.
  • Coordinate Health & Safety, leadership, production, and custom training programs to meet corporate and regulatory requirements for employees across various shifts and locations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee training, certifications, and progression; evaluate training effectiveness through learner assessments and supervisor feedback.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all production training matters, clearly communicating training opportunities, requirements, and schedules to both employees and managers.
  • Understand and validate any concerns or scheduling conflicts, and remain flexible with training methods or schedules when appropriate

Skills & Experience:

  • Exceptional organizational, recordkeeping, and project management skills with a proven ability to coordinate activities across multiple shifts and facilities.
  • Outstanding communicator—comfortable presenting to groups and engaging one-on-one.
  • Clear and effective communicator in both group and one-on-one settings.

Qualifications:

  • Formal education and professional training in relevant topics such as Training and Development, Education or Adult Learning, Organizational Development, or Business Administration; supplemented by Train-the-Trainer programs, Project Management Certifications, and other recognized professional credentials.
  • Proficiency with digital tools including Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite required.
