Monday to Friday 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, the Shift Lead will lead teams through the day-to-day activities in our various departments. The role of the Shift Lead is to handle the safety, quality, and productivity of the team members and ensure tasks are done to schedule as per the Supervisor. The ideal candidate is a self-starters who take initiative, display problem solving and decision-making abilities, have excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Works closely with QA to get work order approved;
• Organizes stock and maintains inventory;
• Follows standard operating procedures;
• Inspects labels and preps printers for work orders;
• Receives and puts away inventory;
• Performs other duties as required.
• Responsible for overseeing sanitation operations during designated shifts, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards and protocols.
• Leads a team in cleaning and sanitizing production areas and equipment, maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment
• Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, schedules sanitation activities, and trains staff on proper procedures
• Reports to management on sanitation activities and collaborates with other departments to meet production goals while upholding sanitation standards.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in sanitation or a related field, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Understanding of sanitation principles, cleaning techniques, and chemical safety.
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with other departments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure completion of sanitation schedules.
• Skills in identifying sanitation issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Thoroughness in inspection processes and adherence to hygiene standards
• Experience in training, supervising, and motivating a team, being responsible for the safety of the team
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in adverse conditions, ie. Height, heat, strong smells and high intensity lighting
• Destruction of product
• Computer skills, D365 would be considered an asset
