Job Description
We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and day-to-day execution of retail construction projects. You'll work closely with the Project Manager and site teams to make sure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.
• Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and follow-ups.
• Support budget monitoring, cost tracking, and change management.
• Ensure all work complies with Quebec construction standards, terminology, and safety requirements.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to keep information flowing smoothly.
• Participate in site visits and help resolve issues as they arise.
Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in construction, ideally in retail, commercial, or interior fit-out projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook; MS Project is an asset).
• Knowledge of Quebec construction practices, terminology, and basic regulations.
• Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written.
