As an Employee Experience Advisor, you will be a trusted expert and strategic partner, driving operational excellence and shaping a high-quality employee experience across WSP. This role is designed for a seasoned HR professional who demonstrates advanced autonomy, sound judgement, and deep subject matter expertise. What you can expect to do here:

  • Strategic HR Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert, providing high-level guidance and recommendations to managers and senior leaders on complex employee relations and operational HR matters.
  • Autonomous Decision-Making: Exercise independent judgement in resolving sensitive issues, investigations, and escalations, ensuring outcomes align with WSP values and legal requirements.
  • Manager & Leader Coaching: Deliver advanced coaching and development to managers, focusing on leadership capability, change management, and operational effectiveness.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the sharing of HR best practices and operational insights across the team and business, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Performance & Development Leadership: Guide leaders on annual performance cycle and oversee the creation and implementation of Personal Development Plans for key talent.
  • Complex Employee Relations: Manage high-risk investigations, disciplinary actions, and improvement plans, providing expert advice and ensuring fair, consistent resolution.
  • Return-to-Work & Accommodation: Oversee complex return-to-work cases and workplace accommodations, collaborating with stakeholders to support successful reintegration.
  • Termination & Severance Management: Lead termination processes for senior or complex cases, including severance calculations, risk assessment, and compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Facilitate training: Help talent enablement with delivering various trainings throughout the year.
  • Operational Excellence: Champion People & Culture initiatives, drive process improvements, and ensure best-in-class HR operations.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee and optimise employee lifecycle activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.

What you'll bring to WSP:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR advisory, employee relations, or operational HR roles, ideally in a large, matrixed organisation. 
  • Recognised subject matter expertise in employment legislation, investigations, and complex case management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and autonomy in decision-making. 
  • Advanced coaching, facilitation, and influencing skills, with a track record of supporting senior leaders. 
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge and build capability within HR and across the business. 
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage sensitive and high-impact situations with professionalism and integrity.
Compensation:
  • BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $93,700 – $124,200
  • MB & ON: $85,500 – $117,800
  • Atlantic Provinces & Québec: $84,700 – $112,400
