We are a 3 generation family owned and operated real estate company looking for a skilled Maintenance person to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and preventative maintenance. Our company has been in business for over 40 years and we are looking for a reliable contractor to be with us long term to grow along side our company. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment, building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. You must have the independent work skills to start and finish renovations to residential and commercial units. Our buildings are a mix of new and old so there is always work needed in and around the properties. We will rely on you to keep busy and work independently. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail, logic and hands-on practicality is a must for getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and a working knowledge on basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Must have a valid drivers license and vehicle to be used for Home Depot Runs, etc... Hours are flexible throughout the week as long as we get the right commitment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Residential & Commercial rental unit renovations. Perform minor fixes such as repairing drywall, painting and flooring installation.

• Prior plumbing experience preferred to diagnosis troubles and correct minor plumbing repairs.

• Cleaning & Repairing vacant rental units

• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.

• Minor Lawn Maintenance & Building Exterior Clean Up

• Install & Diagnose appliances and equipment when faulty.

• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, inspect and troubleshoot equipment and building systems

• Communicate & collaborate with workers and other professional contractors as needed.

• Required to effectively communicate with head office regarding work orders and other on going repairs.

• Serve notices to tenants.

• Tools & Material to be provided by The Sacco Group Ltd as per each job requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
