Solidworks Designer

Major Responsibilities
· Develop accurate, orderly and readable SolidWorks models based on provided shop drawings.
· Review and interpret architectural and millwork blueprint drawings.
· Generate CNC programs, cut lists, and supporting production drawings for the manufacturing team.
· Collaborate with the production team to ensure project completion.
· Liaise with project management, engineering, and CNC operators to resolve machining, production, or quality-related issues.
· Ensure all projects are completed within established deadlines.
· Labeling and transferring the templates to the production detailed drawings per contract documents and specifications.
· Contacting customers for missing information and mistakes on their drawings via email, phone, verbal.
· Sending confirmation emails to the customers of any verbal changes made by the customers
· Responsible for managing and maintaining the company email drawing account.
Additional Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain short-term and long-term plans and layouts for projects
· Managing and building relationships with multiple teams
· Managing day-to-day activities for the project team
· Any additional tasks or duties assigned by Supervisor or Management team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Degree or Trade School Diploma in a related subject
· plus years of SolidWorks and 3D AutoCAD experience, preferably in the same industry (millwork/woodworking).
· Experience with Mastercam and 5-axis programming is a plus.
- Works interactively with all Takeoff Technicians, Programmers, Fabrication Supervisor/Engineer, and CNC Machine Operators to provide accurate & efficient programs for standard fabrication of aluminum extrusions for doors and frames.
· Strong problem-solving skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Demonstrates a positive attitude and can work well in a team setting
· Willing to comply with any additional training required by Bolton Railings Inc.
