Solidworks Designer

Major Responsibilities Develop accurate, orderly and readable SolidWorks models based on provided shop drawings. Review and interpret architectural and millwork blueprint drawings. Generate CNC programs, cut lists, and supporting production drawings for the manufacturing team. Collaborate with the production team to ensure project completion. Liaise with project management, engineering, and CNC operators to resolve machining, production, or quality-related issues. Ensure all projects are completed within established deadlines. Labeling and transferring the templates to the production detailed drawings per contract documents and specifications. Contacting customers for missing information and mistakes on their drawings via email, phone, verbal. Sending confirmation emails to the customers of any verbal changes made by the customers. Responsible for managing and maintaining the company email drawing account. Additional Responsibilities Develop and maintain short-term and long-term plans and layouts for projects. Managing and building relationships with multiple teams. Managing day-to-day activities for the project team. Any additional tasks or duties assigned by Supervisor or Management team. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Degree or Trade School Diploma in a related subject. 3 plus years of SolidWorks and 3D AutoCAD experience, preferably in the same industry (millwork/woodworking). Experience with Mastercam and 5-axis programming is a plus. Works interactively with all Takeoff Technicians, Programmers, Fabrication Supervisor/Engineer, and CNC Machine Operators to provide accurate & efficient programs for standard fabrication of aluminum extrusions for doors and frames. Strong problem-solving skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates a positive attitude and can work well in a team setting. Willing to comply with any additional training required by Bolton Railings Inc.
