EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Cloud/Network Architect to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care

The Role:
The Cloud/Network Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining the organization's enterprise-wide technology architecture across cloud, network, and cybersecurity domains. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting robust IT solutions that balance innovation with operational excellence.
The Cloud/Network Architect will dedicate approximately 50% of their time to driving the successful delivery of new technology implementations while providing strategic and technical leadership to build a secure, scalable, and resilient IT ecosystem.
Working collaboratively with the Applications Support, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity, the Cloud/Network Architect ensures that all solutions are seamlessly integrated, aligned with business objectives, and fully operationalized with minimal disruption to the organization.
Reporting to: Director, Information Technology
Role Overview:
- Implementation & Operational Support (50%)
- Oversee end-to-end solution implementation, from design to cutover and hypercare, including hands-on configuration and deployment where necessary.
- Provide Tier-3 architecture support for complex incidents and root cause analysis.
- Ensure smooth handover to operations by developing runbooks, SOPs, and monitoring standards.
- Support data center decommissioning, cloud migration, and PACS/RIS modernization initiatives.
- Architecture & Design
- Lead the development and maintenance of the enterprise architecture blueprint, covering cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), networking (MPLS/SD-WAN/VPN/Direct Connect), and cybersecurity frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST, CIS IG1+).
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic IT goals into scalable and secure solution designs.
- Establish architecture standards, reference models, and patterns to guide solution implementation.
- Perform security assessments and threat modelling for new initiatives.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with the Application Support Team to integrate application and infrastructure requirements.
- Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to align implementations with architecture standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing architecture roadmaps, cost models, and risk assessments.
- Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Champion IT governance processes, architecture reviews, and design authority boards.
- Monitor technology trends, evaluate new tools, and recommend improvements.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions meet performance, availability, and security expectations.
- Undertakes other related duties as assigned.
You have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, TOGAF.
- 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, with 3+ years focusing on cloud, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Strong technical expertise across IaaS, PaaS, network design, and security controls
- Proven track record in enterprise solution design and implementation in hybrid environments is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS architecture, SD-WAN/MPLS, VPN, firewalls, WAFs, SIEM/SOC, and Zero Trust frameworks is an asset.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT environments (PACS, RIS, EMR systems) is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (PIPEDA, HIPAA, SOC 2)
