MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Seasonal - Casual Part-Time, Temporary)
POSITION DESCIPTION
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Services, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing winter operational support outside the Roozen Family Hospice Centre facility. The hours for this position will be snow dependent, as the Maintenance Technician will be shoveling snow in the late afternoons or early evenings, on an as needed basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with grounds maintenance including snow and ice removal, applying gravel and ice melt as needed to high traffic and disabled areas in and around the exterior of the facility.
- Assist with maintaining adequate supplies of ice melt and gravel in exterior bins, refilling as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- General snow and ice removal experience required.
- Ability to perform manual labour tasks, including the use of snow shovels and ice chopper tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team member.
