Associate, Industry Analyst Relations

How You Will Contribute

As an integral part of Ciena's Industry Analyst Relations (IAR) team, this role focuses on optimizing our investment in market research and consulting from industry analysts. Reporting to the Director of Industry Analyst Relations, this position plays a pivotal role in coordinating analyst briefings, tracking engagement data, and supporting industry events. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating logistics for analyst briefings during trade shows, product launches, and quarterly updates.
• Drafting and distributing timely updates to the analyst community, including press releases, blogs, and high-profile news.
• Preparing and sharing briefing notes with subject-matter experts attending industry events.
• Capturing and analyzing engagement data and analyst coverage for reporting purposes.
• Managing logistics for trade shows and conferences, including invitations, RSVPs, meeting rooms, travel arrangements, and presentation materials.
• Securing approvals for the use of analyst intellectual property in Ciena materials and maintaining internal guidelines on proper usage.
• Collaborating with internal teams to distribute and review analyst reports while delivering feedback to analysts.

The Must Haves

• Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a corporate setting, preferably in marketing or communications.
• Strong writing and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with Teams and Zoom.
• Experience in event planning and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with SharePoint, including managing lists, libraries, and permissions.
• Experience supporting process improvements and light automation to enhance efficiency.
• Knowledge of collaboration tools and enterprise software.
• Interest in learning new software tools to optimize the IAR function.
• Understanding of market research and competitive intelligence functions.

Pay Range

The salary range for this role in Canada is $53, 100 - $84, 900

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
