Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of items as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize forklifts and other warehouse equipment for loading and unloading when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
- Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, clean, and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required for all positions.
- Experience in commercial driving or delivery services is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activity throughout the day.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to driving and material handling.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team.
