We are a food startup preparing for a relaunch of our ready-to-eat meals for retail grocery. We are looking for a Production Cook who wants to grow with the business and eventually take ownership of the kitchen.

This role is for someone early in their career who wants responsibility, not just shifts.

What you will do

  • Cook and test meals for retail production
  • Help refine and standardize recipes as we scale
  • Assist with batch cooking, portioning, and packaging
  • Document recipes, portions, and kitchen processes
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Take increasing ownership of daily kitchen operations over time

Who this is for

Schedule

  • 16–24 hours per week to start
  • Flexible scheduling during R&D and relaunch
  • Opportunity to move into full-time based on performance and business growth

Compensation

  • $18–$35 per hour depending on experience and job placement
  • Increases tied to responsibility and output, not time
  • Clear growth path as the company scales

Important

This is a growth role. If you are looking for a fully structured kitchen with fixed recipes and no ambiguity, this is not the right fit.
