Duties
- Install and replace automotive glass, including windshields, side windows, and rear windows.
- Perform repairs on damaged glass using appropriate techniques and materials.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for glass installation and removal.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess glass damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions regarding services performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Stay updated on industry trends, including advancements in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology.
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive glass installation or repair is preferred.
- Dealership experience is a plus, as it provides familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.
- Knowledge of ADAS systems is advantageous for proper calibration during glass replacement.
- Skills in window tinting, auto body repair, detailing, assembly, and automotive estimating are beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for understanding vehicle systems related to glass installation.
- Experience with heavy lifting as required for handling large pieces of glass safely.
