The Opportunity:
WSP is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our Site Assessment and Remediation Team in Southern Ontario. You'll play a key role in delivering site assessment and remediation projects for a wide range of clients, including municipal, provincial, federal, and private sector partners.

What you can expect to do here:
- Lead and manage Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site remediation, and support for Risk Assessments and Records of Site Condition (O.Reg. 153/04)
- Apply knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19 (Excess Soil Management) in project planning and execution
- Develop proposals, conceptual site models, and work programs
- Supervise and mentor junior staff in both field and office settings
- Coordinate field programs, subcontractors, and equipment logistics
- Review and interpret environmental data, lab results, and historical records
- Prepare technical reports and ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development
- Support health and safety initiatives and promote a safety-first culture
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, Masters degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on site assessment and remediation
- Eligibility for professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo) and Qualified Person (QP) status preferred
- Strong understanding of Ontario environmental regulations (O.Reg. 153/04 & 406/19)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for local fieldwork
