About the Association of Métis Capital Corporations (AMCC)
The Association of Métis Capital Corporations (AMCC) is a national coordinating body that supports and advocates on behalf of its member Métis capital corporations. AMCC exists to support its members in carrying out their business lending and business development mandates.
AMCC operates as a technical, non-political organization. The Association provides policy, governance, data, and coordination support to help member capital corporations operate effectively and engage with federal and private-sector partners. AMCC's work is focused on strengthening member capacity to ultimately enhance the delivery of lending and business development services.

Description
The Association of Métis Capital Corporations is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advisor, Policy and Operations to work closely with the Executive Director on coordination, governance, and technical initiatives that support AMCC's member capital corporations.
This role is outward-facing and relationship-driven. The Advisor will support coordination between AMCC member capital corporations and federal and private-sector institutional stakeholders. The position requires the ability to analyze federal policy and program environments, identify constraints affecting member capital corporations, and support shared initiatives that reduce administrative burden, address capital constraints, and improve operational efficiency across the AMCC network.
The Advisor will contribute to policy and governance support, the administration and reporting of federal contribution agreements, and the development of technical and operational projects undertaken on behalf of AMCC's members in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement
· Act as a liaison between member Métis capital corporations and federal, private-sector, and institutional stakeholders
· Support policy and advocacy efforts aimed at addressing systemic barriers faced by member capital corporations, including access to capital and program design challenges
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with government officials, partners, and sector stakeholders
Policy, Program & Strategic Support
· Contribute to the development of policy positions, program concepts, and shared solutions that support member capital corporations
· Conduct research and analysis and prepare briefing materials to support internal decision-making and external engagement
· Support initiatives that create economies of scale and shared approaches across the AMCC network
Governance & Organizational Support
· Support governance processes, including policy development, Board materials, and corporate documentation
· Assist with coordination related to Board and committee activities, ensuring materials are clear, accurate, and decision-ready
Federal Contribution Agreements & Reporting
· Support the administration and reporting of federal contribution agreements
· Assist with the preparation of reports, schedules, and other materials required by funding partners
· Work with financial and program information to ensure reporting is accurate and aligned with funding requirements
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public policy, economics, business, finance, public administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
· A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in one or more of the following areas:
· Policy analysis, business analysis, or credit analysis in a government, financial, or quasi-public environment
· Supporting the delivery, administration, or reporting of federally funded programs or initiatives
· Analyzing program or policy requirements and identifying operational or administrative impacts
· Experience contributing to cross-organizational or multi-stakeholder projects
· Strong analytical skills, including experience conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to support policy, program, or operational decisions
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly to varied audiences
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in small, high-performing teams with a high degree of independence, accountability, and discretion
Technical Skills
· Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Strong Excel skills, particularly for working with financial, dashboarding, performance, and reporting data
