Brewer - Magnotta Brewery (Vaughan, Ontario)

Magnotta Brewery in Vaughan, Ontario is seeking a true craft energetic Brewer who is self-motivated to join our award-winning Brewery Team. Working along side our Head Brewer and team, you will assist with brewing, fermentation, filtration, and packaging of our products along with other brewery related tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities will include but not to be limited to:

  • Assist the brewing team in production of our wort and beer
  • Maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity for all related processes
  • Fermentation and cellaring
  • Tank cleaning and sanitizing
  • Filtration
  • Packaging
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Ability to stand, crouch, sit, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 30kgs.
  • Ability to stay focused and conduct repetitive tasks
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and is detail oriented
  • Other duties shall be assigned as required

Requirements:

  • University Degree (BSc.) or College Diploma in Brewing Operations
  • 2+ years of practical brewing experience on 20hL brewhouse
  • 2+ years of tank house experience (fermentation, filtration. sanitation)
  • 2+ years of packaging experience - use of Cask can filler, GAI bottle filler, or Scholle bag filler considered an asset
  • Basic understanding of equipment maintenance
  • Proven ability to multitask, adapt to change & think critically
  • Must be a team player and work in a team environment
  • Physical dexterity and stamina
  • Excellent verbal skills
  • Superior work organization and time management skills
  • Motivated and driven
