YMCA of Southwestern Ontario was founded in 1856 and has over 200 locations from Goderich to Point Pelee, and Windsor to Woodstock. We are one of the largest not-for-profit providers of licensed child care in Canada and have over 100 school age programs across our regions. Position:  Day Camp Counsellor

Location: Saredaca Day Camp

Start Date: June 22, 2026

End Date: August 28, 2026

Salary: $17.60/ hour

In this role, you will:

  • A Day Camp Counsellor will provide high quality day camp programing to children between 4 to 16 years old
  • Prepare and deliver exceptional day camp programming
  • Ensure safety and well-being of campers 
  • Willing to work in indoor, outdoor and aquatic environments
  • Be on your feet for the majority of the workday, walking, running, jumping, active playing. At locations that have pools or splash pads, staff are expected to be in the water with the children
  • Participation in weekly staff meetings 
  • Follow all Health & Safety and Child Protection policies to keep the camp a safe place for all

 What you need to succeed:

  • Experience working with children in a Day Camp Setting
  • Current Emergency First Aid or higher 
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening as per cure
  • A dedication to demonstrate the YMCA core values.
