Position: One to One Counsellor End Date: August 28, 2026 Salary: $18.30/hour As part of your total compensation: Receive a complimentary YMCA membership to our Health & Fitness facilities, and discounts on YMCA child care and camp program Be part of a caring and supportive network of people to help each other succeed Complimentary access to wellness and counselling services In this role, you will: Providing direct support to children with special needs Managing behavioral incidents and implementing behavioral redirection strategies Communicating regularly with camper families Developing program inclusion strategies to create a successful camping experience for inclusion campers Act as resource to day camp staff team in terms of inclusive programming Full and active participation in all camp activities Participation in weekly staff meetings Weekend introductory phone calls to assigned camper Willing to work in indoor, outdoor and aquatic environments Be on your feet for the majority of the workday, walking, running, jumping, active playing.
