We're looking for our next Senior Manager, AI & Risk Modelling. Could it be you?
The Senior Manager will lead a team to oversee the end-to-end delivery of advanced solutions for risk modeling. This strategic role is critical for driving business value and mitigating risk by translating stakeholder needs into robust and ethical models.
This role will be responsible to build and guide day-to-day activities of our risk modelling team and guarantee operation continuity. You will be responsible for the execution of the AI risk modelling roadmap, overseeing and contributing to the end-to-end delivery of robust solutions. This role is ideal for an individual who combines deep technical expertise with a strong business acumen and a passion for mentorship.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing, deploying, and monitoring the performance of models and algorithms
Facilitating and contributing to the validation of AI/ML models
Ensuring scientific rigor, reproducibility, and the application of ethical practices in AI/ML
Contributing to building and growing a multidisciplinary team of AI and ML scientists
Fostering the development of talents in applying artificial intelligence to risk
Executing and overseeing the delivery roadmaps for strategic risk initiatives
Collaborating with business stakeholders to translate their needs into concrete, measurable solutions
Representing the team in working groups and cross-functional initiatives

Hold a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
Have 7+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Have 7+ years of experience in banking or finance
Have solid knowledge of boosting and bagging algorithms (XGBoost, Random Forests, LightGBM)
Have strong knowledge of AI development tools and best practices in DevOps, MLOps, and LLMOps
Have excellent programming skills (Python, SQL, PySpark) and proficiency with development tools (Git, GitLab, VS Code)
Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data science cloud-based tools (e.g., Databricks), MLOps practices, and production deployment
Have proven experience delivering and deploying AI solutions that have a measurable business impact
Are proficient in Agile and SAFe methodologies and related tools (Jira, Confluence)
Have team management or leadership experience
Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Additional kudos if you…
Are knowledgeable in NLP/NLU models and LLMs
Compensation Information:
Base salary range: $145,000 - $160,000
The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
