Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various CNC and manual machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with a variety of tools and programming languages. The Machine Operator will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production workflows, quality standards, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tortilla-production equipment, including nixtamal grinders, dough mixers, tortilla presses, ovens, and packaging machines.
  • Set up machines daily, adjusting settings for masa texture, tortilla size, and production volume.
  • Monitor and verify product quality using scales, thermometers, thermometers, and visual checks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Read and follow production sheets, recipes, and batch specifications with precision.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting to reduce downtime and keep equipment running smoothly.
  • Safely handle bags of corn, corn dough, and packaged product; operate pallet jack for material movement as needed.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and storing finished tortillas, chips, salsas, and other MAiiZ products.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food-safety standards.
  • Experience
  • Proven experience operating machinery in food production or similar environments.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with hand tools, measuring devices (calipers, scales), and packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and ensuring product specifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
