Job Description
Located on the West Side of Vancouver with large offices/space.

Senior development opportunity best suited to a veteran engineer with exposure to the multiple inputs and requirements required to bringing advanced products to market.

Working with a small multidiscipline team of dedicated engineers and designers, with minimal supervision. This is a LEAD software role.

The client has created a non-invasive, pediatric gait rehabilitation device, designed for children with crouch gait and knee-extension disorders often found in patients with Spinal Bifida and Cerebral Palsy. Instead of helping patients walk, their goal is to enable them to stand taller, walk stronger. They are on track to apply for Medical Device approval in ~ 1 year.

  • Lead and mentor the Firmware Development process across disciplines.
  • Develop embedded firmware in C
  • 'Preference' for one with LDC / PMSM motor control
  • Strong control theory background and microcontroller development in a 'design for manufacturability mindset'.

Qualifications

  • Senior Level C / firmware development (7+ years)
  • Preference to one who has developed embedded firmware for PMSM motor control - but not a must-have
  • Strong control theory background and microcontroller development design for manufacturability
  • Lead (and mentor if the right fit) the Firmware Development process across disciplines.
